Lime wash finish, rust iron and copper patinas for sustainable, eco friendly interiors.

All water based decorative coatings are suitable for interiors and are resistant to damp, mould and water. Extra protection is needed in wet areas.

These innovative paints, produced with advanced technology, aim towards the Environment Care and Green Architecture standards. The raw materials carefully selected are water based and many come from a recycled sub-product, increasing its eco-friendly criteria.

Enviromental and Technical Data

The dispersion of humidity avoids the growth of moulds, algae and bacteria, without using chemical additives. ASTM D 3274 is the standard test method to evaluate the disfigurement of water-based decorative effect coatings by microbial, fungal and algae= no growth. They are also non-flammable and low odour, with a low VOCs value (less than 5mg/L VOCs). The standard EU Value for this category is 200mg/L Volatile Organic Compounds (EU Directive 2004/42/CE).

The European Class of reaction to fire is A1: non-combustible and no contribution to fire.

The right composition makes these decorative paints very resistant after application and with low or no maintenance in most cases, making them ideal for hig-traffic areas. They are long-lasting, resist cracks (given the substrate is stable) and everyday wear.

All water based paints have a normal drying time according to the thickness of application, varying between 1hr and 4hr touch dry. Once it’s cured and sealed, the surface can be cleaned with water and mild, neutral soap. Avoid rubbing too strongly as it could damage the top layer of the varnish or coating.
